SPRING 2018 MEETING:   April 23 at Green Hill.   Details to follow.

Membership Processing

Membership in the WPGA is renewed annually generally on April 1.  For clubs that are renewing their membership, instructions for updating their membership list and submitting their payment are distributed, together with a current roster, at the fall general membership meeting to the club’s WPGA representative.  Should the information be misplaced or for all clubs that are joining the WPGA for the first time, please email the WPGA treasurer, Carolyn Carter at carolynwcarter@msn.com, for a copy of the related forms and instructions.  To add individual new members during the year, just send a check for the dues with the name of your club and a clearly printed name of the member to be added to Carolyn.

When a player’s ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, her partner, her opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.  The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1.

[this Local Rule applies only when the player’s ball or ball-marker lies on the putting green and any movement is accidental – not elsewhere]

A ball on the putting green moved as a result of wind, water, or some other natural cause such as the effects of gravity must be played as it lies from its new location.
